I just tried Photoshop CC for the first time on an iPad Pro 9.7 and was very impressed. It’s faster than the applications on sync (Photoshop CS5, Camera RAW etc). Also seems to run OK on the iPad Air 2. One thing I think is odd is that the user interface is a little different compared to the desktop version.
Kyle, thank you for the excellent review. I agree with the statements regarding the lack of proper app support for X-trans. Some or the files were not even recognized, with an error stating that the device is not compatible. This is definitely an area in need of improvement and could have a negative effect on the usage of the app. It would be nice to have an option to automatically support x-trans files. I’d be interested to see what Adobe will be able to add in future releases, as their development process is quite extensive.

FYI, the early version of the iPhone version 6c possibly downloaded via the Apple store was very buggy. It has been fixed and I updated it to the latest release<~4.8.2~ based on what I learned reviewing this article.
However, when using my 27″ iMac, both the Mac and iPad apps give me no choise to install the program. I had to buy the app to make it the default app. It is very annoying that I can’t install it to the default apps as I did on my Macbook Pro.
While I appreciate this review, I wish the reviewer would have noted the shortcomings of the program. It’s addressable, however they make it look good but it still shows its age. For example the import of over 25million faces was performed via an external application that is needed to be opened and configured before it be used.
