If you are looking for an entry-level program that can get you started, this would be it. It may not be the first place for photographers to be editing, but for those who just want to walk through a few steps, it is okay.

The Bottom Line:

Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020 is inexpensive, but having such an easy-to-use interface with web-optimized PSD integration is about as good as it gets. There are features I miss, but for most tasks Photoshop Elements 2020 will satisfy the need.

Until now Photoshop ran extremely slow on my new Mac Pro “which is configured for dual quad-core Xeon X5455s, 12GB of RAM, and a 240GB SSD”. After installing the latest version of Photoshop (CS6) I get 100% utilization of all four cores and about 32GB of RAM. I have never seen Photoshop use so much RAM.
