When you have Photoshop installed, launch the program and begin. At the top left of the screen is the Camera icon. Select it and change it to something like “Capture.”
The Capture icon allows you to take photos using your computer’s camera, and it’s essential to any Photoshop tutorial. On the top right of the screen, you will see three icons. Change the X-axis to Vertical to line up the image with the edges of the computer screen.
At the top left of the screen is a strip of icons representing Photoshop’s tools. Click on the Eye icon to activate the Eye Dropper tool. This allows you to find and drag exactly where you want the color of the image to be.
At the bottom of the screen is a strip of icons that are helpful when editing images and objects. The most useful icon to make selections is the Magic Wand tool, so go ahead and use it to draw a box around the face.
As you’re working, the help icon at the bottom of the screen will show you the shortcuts that will make working in Photoshop easier and faster.
