Development and history
AutoCAD is a desktop/network/network-less/web/mobile platform-independent (cross-platform) application which can be installed on both the PC and Mac platforms. AutoCAD includes some of the latest computer graphics technologies, such as a powerful, state-of-the-art 3D engine which supports rapid, interactive creation and editing of 3D models. The program supports 2D vector drawings, called DWG (Drawing Workspace), a form of ASCII text file which allows for a document to be scaled in any direction or viewed in any orientation, and importing and exporting of files to and from various 2D and 3D formats. Features such as layers and views, snapping and trimming, text and plotting, and other features were added to AutoCAD later than they appeared in competing CAD applications.

AutoCAD is available in both version 2010 and 2013 editions. AutoCAD 2010 runs on a 32-bit platform, has more features than AutoCAD 2013, and offers more than 10 times the drawing area. In 2017, Autodesk announced that AutoCAD 2017 would no longer run on 32-bit versions of Windows (although older versions of AutoCAD will continue to work). Beginning with AutoCAD 2015, a number of tasks and some features were significantly improved. In addition to adding new features, AutoCAD 2015 also enhanced some of the features which were already available. In 2018, AutoCAD 2018 introduced a completely new graphic user interface (GUI), including a mobile app, new animation tools, upgraded presentation features, and enhanced multi-monitor support. Autodesk released AutoCAD 2019 as a 64-bit application which no longer requires the use of an operating system version from Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista. Version 2019.1, released on April 22, 2019, was the last release of AutoCAD 2019 for the Windows 32-bit platform.

If you’re baking the lasagna in a 9 x 13 pan, I recommend spreading your filling out a little more and giving it a good 15-20 minutes to bake.
