It can also ignore instrument types, sample rates, bit depth etc.
You could add:

Ignoring all metadata is what makes.xmf files very large and hard to edit and troubleshoot. From the docs on the GitHub repo:
Note that this does NOT delete the data, only adds a “-noaudio”-tag to the XMF file.
You would also want to have ignore any data plugins on the master output, such as the Presets and New.
Note: Using “.asf” and “.aiff” extension are in fact versions of the same type of file, but in the “ASF” file format will contain more options for the AAF (Audio Accessory Format) module. The common use of “asf” is for FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) and “.aiff” is for “AU” (Audio Units)
I would highly recommend that you provide a small test project which will trigger this error.
Debugging a problem takes too long.
This shows, that NNX is playing nice with the new.xmf format but due to the fact of the large size.xmf files it throws an exception.
Enable Error via the new “NNX header” in VST
Warning: This will disable the Audio drivers as the Audio is removed.
You will have to go back and re-enable the Audio drivers.
I recommend disabling this in the Plugin preferences: NNX/IPlugins/Setting.ini
