Anyway, I have yet to experience any difficulty with the Sibwings aircraft and it is extremely stable and very easy to fly, even in the default configurations. This is a tall biplane with a wing span of 24 feet. In fact, the Sibwings aircraft was inspired by the Antonov An-2, as the Dutch developer Pieter Meijer states on his site. It is however unique and has a unique engine configuration that makes it very unique. The undercarriage on the plane is fixed, but the wheels are retractable which gives the aircraft the ability to land on unprepared surfaces. Without retractable wheels youd have to land within a few yards and even then, I have a feeling that it wouldnt work too well. The aircraft features forward and rear cockpits, too, each of which is bigger than the average cockpit. One of the best features of the cockpit is the bright halogen lights in the front and the rear, and they would be most welcome if simmers dont use those of their own. The instrumentation is one of the best on the market, with extra clear and bright instrumentation in the rear cockpit. The only caveat to this is that the strange installation of the instrument panel means that the battery should be installed by default upside down. Only after you realize this do you realize how odd that is and you may have to swap the batteries to flip them in the correct position if you have a quandary. I found that it was very easy to switch off the radio navigation screens as well.

On the subject of aircraft, my friend tells me that the only plane that can match the Sibwings Russian military-era VC’s in terms of model quality are the Xian MA7 from Xiatian Wings. Its a Russian-made, interchangeable and upgradeable. I personally have been flying the VC2 variant (VC2 is the ATS Simulation one) since the day I got it and I can honestly say that it is one of the best mil-era Soviet biplanes, if not the best. As a result, I recommend the Sibwings Bird Dog to any and all simmers. All you need is determination and patience. If you want to fly the biplane, you can do so, but its very likely that you will need to do a fair amount of work to get it to fly well. That being said, however, the plane is a really cool one and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes this type of aircraft. In fact, I actually might have to build one myself!

An2 development continues, but the new development for SibWings began with the new engine upgrade for the model. Above are a few screenshots that show a model that is considerably more detailed than the one that was released by SibWings. In fact, SibWings An2 also released the pre-FSX version of the aircraft. The model now has decals, plexiglass and some new sounds. These are, of course, not final, so maybe future updates will change these. But I will show a few screenshots below to illustrate just how much these aircraft have changed from the previous one.
Now here’s a little aircraft with a big attitude! The Saab Safir. So far, this is the only product developed by this new company called SibWings, but what a model it is! This has been an aircraft that has gone undiscovered by me and perhaps others as well….
You can tell that this game is still in development from the fact that it has been in development for 4+ years, but Andrey and his team at ATSimulations have finally decided to produce a product. There are still plenty of bugs and issues, but it’s starting to come together now. In fact, he’s currently working on a freighter version and a previously unknown project related to Antonov. I suspect that the same people from SibWings, ATSimulations (of course) and the their customer, Teddy, will be involved in this.
SibWings builds the “Bird Dog” airplane out of a basis of the Antonov An-26. Beside the basic version for the GSX, a version intended for plane modellers is available as well as a VC (version control) of the aircraft. In addition to these there is a high quality liveries made by “Springfox.” The author of the CGA release, SibWings B2bioniq. For those of you, who also like to fly planes in CGA, you will be happy to know that the Bird Dog is offered as a 3D model (model-plane.org).
