Equipment’s upgrade method is relatively simple — for 5 points, you can upgrade based on the cost of that class’s basic equipment*. For instance, Wind/Fairy only needs two basic colors (Wind = Blue, Fairy = Black), meaning you can upgrade to the more powerful Blue/Paladium, Blue/White, Black/Paladium, or Black/White. After upgrading an item, you first use a number of points to upgrade it to its next level and then you spend the next number of points to upgrade its Steroids to your desired level. Steroids are an attribute you gain points for as you use/defend against certain attacks. There’s a chart for each class that shows you when/by how many points you should use to upgrade the item by, whether to attack first, to rely on the player to attack first, and other info.
The game includes 18 skin colors and 3 equipment colors for seven different clothing styles (see above for info). There are also six character classes* and roughly 20 missions to play through within the six playable sectors. Each sector starts players with a choice of three classes that they can freely mix and match with equipment. For example, if you have a Fire/Piranha, Fire/Archer and Earth/Piranha, you might find yourself in a battle against a formidable opponent. That’s exactly what!
To win a wave, you’ll have to either defend or attack the enemy in order to consume his or her own life meter (which is a blue circle). A circle and a character’s Stamina meter will glow green when he or she is at full health, while the center will glow red and start a countdown. Life meters and Stamina upgrades are earned within a mission, and they affect how long you can survive certain attacks. A high life meter will reduce the attack damage of even an Invincible attack and gives you a chance to Defend back out.
